Dutch airline KLM to attract more UK-based gay customers with the launch of online game

I tried it. It’s kind of fun, pretty easy to answer. My score was 10 out of 10 questions :) And apparently, you may be in a chance to win flights into one of KLM’s gay destinations. Competition ends 26 September.

Try it here: http://www.theklmgaygetaway.co.uk

In a press release I received, KLM says : “KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched its first ever gay online game in the UK.   The airline, which is a staunch supporter of the gay community in the Netherlands, has previously worked with the LGBT community in London but this is the first time the airline has targeted a UK-wide audience.

The game, entitled “The KLM Gay Getaway!”, which can be accessed at www.theklmgaygetaway.co.uk, focuses on the gay capitals of the world. Players get a whistle stop tour of the top KLM gay destinations as they answer a series of multiple choice questions about each city.  The view-master mechanic flicks up images of various cities with the questions overlaid on top of the images.  At the end of ten questions players can register their details in order to be put into a prize draw to win flights to a gay KLM destination of their choice."

Ha! Russia: Shop in nude and for free

Nude shopping: Market allows naked buyers food for free

*via Russia Today:

Russian winter is probably not the best time to wander around in your briefs and bras, but a Moscow Region supermarket thinks different. Shoppers were told anyone who stripped to their underwear could take as much as they could grab, totally free of charge. That was enough to attract crowds of almost naked shoppers, some of them well over 60, and even larger crowds of shocked peeping toms. In fact, some were so shocked they reported the mass parade of flesh to the police. The event proved two things: One - people will do anything for free stuff and two, the human body is not equipped to carry shopping.

Armenian men in drag in downtown Yerevan… to mark Motherhood and Beauty day

Brabion Flora Service continue with its hilarious PR campaigns challenging notions of masculinity in Armenia. First, it was a naked men action to mark Valentine’s day. They announced back then that all men who would come to their flora salon in downtown Yerevan in swimwear or underwear only, would get a free bouquet.

On 7 April, to mark Motherhood and Beauty day (2nd official holiday dedicated to women in Armenia; 1st - 8 March), they had a similar free bouquet promotion, but this time only if men turn up dressed in women's clothes and wigs (necessary condition: mini skirts, high heels and wigs). The result was pretty hilarious and as unprecedented (or more!) as their previous action.

Well done, Brabion! And well done to Armenian men in drag! A truly historic occasion ;)

P.S. We did have drag shows in Yerevan in past, but in bars or clubs, never so public, in daylight.
